About Carina
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 1996, Carina has worked as a soloist and chamber musician. Her career has taken her from the UK to France, Russia and New Zealand where she has given violin recitals and string quartet concerts.
In the Uk, Carina has performed at The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Royal Academy of Arts, St.Martin in the Fields Trafalgar Square, The BT Tower, King's College Cambridge, Canterbury Cathedral, St. Albans Abbey and many prestigious hotels including The Ritz and Raymond Blanc's 'Les Quatre Saisons'. She has given numerous recitals, with repertoire ranging from Bach sonatas, to the romantic works of Elgar and Faure, to the modern and popular pieces by Gershwin, Cole Porter and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Carina has also performed Mozart, Beethoven and Bruch Violin Concertos with The Maltings Sinfonia. She has played with many String Quartets including The Alexandra String Quartet, The Aaron String Quartet, Sapphire Strings, The Amalfi Quartet and Strings Attached .
In France, Carina has performed in many venues including some of the beautiful churches in the south-west region of Charente- Maritime with pianist Stephane Trebuchet. While working in France, she was invited to play with the Orchestre de l'Haute Saintonge on their European tour and in Moscow she performed the beautiful violin solo of the Schindlers List Theme Music. She has also performed just off the coast of St. Petersburg, aboard a cruise ship!
While in New Zealand,Carina was lucky enough to perform in Auckland with the renowned pianist, Rosemary Barnes, who has worked with the English National Opera for nearly 30 years accompanying Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and who has recently been awarded the MNZM.
Carina has now settled in Devon and works throughout the South-West of England.
